When I think of great educational puzzles the first name that pops in mind is Melissa & Doug. Why you ask? Well for starters, they are durable, well crafted, and finely hand painted. I truly enjoy the multitude of brightness each puzzle brings, I can't stand bland. However, what I like best about the chunky wooden puzzles is that they're able to keep the attention of my 21 month old daughter. She doesn't even need my help in putting it together since they come with full color pictures behind each puzzle piece to guide her. Some times I even feel like I'm in the way. These puzzles go for $9.99 and you also get smiles for days with that price, that's a great value.
